My Family
My husband and I have four children--Ethan, Bethany, Landon, and Elana, one dog--Rex, and two cats--Lily and Lucy. We moved from Elmore County to Chilton County four years ago, and we absolutely love it here! Country life suits us well because we both grew up in rural areas. It was a dream of ours for many years to get back to the country life we missed so much. Even though our blood relatives live a good distance away from Chilton County, I am proud to say that God has blessed us with an amazing church family here in Clanton. There is no other place I would rather be!
Education & Experience
After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. I graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University Montgomery with a B.S. in Secondary Language Arts Education in May of 2009. I began teaching eighth grade language arts at Millbrook Middle School the fall of 2009 and was transferred to sixth grade language arts at Millbrook Middle the fall of 2010. I took maternity leave in March of 2011 after the birth of our last child, Elana, and resigned my position that May in order to stay at home with our two youngest children. With our three oldest children all in school and our last old enough to begin preschool, I decided it was a good time to get back to what I love to do--teach! So far, I have had a spectacular experience at Clanton Middle School.
